Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Mission Possible!
- Everything is possible for him who believes. Mark 9:23
- Jesus said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
Our mission as the S.P.L.A.T. youth group can be accomplished in 3 steps.
- Get rid of our own sin
- God wants us to let Him purify our hearts through repentance and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. God will always forgive our sins if we are willing to confess them to Him.
- If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9
- Since Jesus paid for our lives on the cross, we belong to Him. We need to give our entire life to Him and not just the easy areas. Truly walking with Christ is giving full surrender to His will for our life.
- Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have recieved from God? Tou are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
- Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Galatians 6:24
- Spend time with God
- Read the Bible! His Word is the very source of God's instructions for our lives. It's not just a book that tells us a bunch of things that we're not allowed to do, but it's the infalable, God-inspired guide that helps us to follow the footsteps of Christ.
- As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. 2 Samuel 22:31
- How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. Psalms 119:9
- I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11
- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105
- For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. Hebrews 4:12
- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22
- Talk to Him! As Christians, prayer is our direct communication with God. There is no need to go through another channel such as a religious leader or ritual, but we can stop anytime throughout our day and talk to God just as we would talk to a friend. One area of prayer that most people miss out on is the listening to what God would say to us.
- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin. 2 Chronicles 7:14
- Be joyful always; pray continually. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17
- Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. James 5:13
- Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. 1 Peter 3:12
- Share Jesus with others
- S.P.L.A.T. stands for Servants Preaching Love And Truth, and what that means is that as a group, our goal is to involved other youth in our area into the Christian life. We are devoted to each other as servants, caring for each other's needs without expecting anything in return. With this purose-driven system, everyone's needs are met with the quality of love and truth, the kind that only God can give. When we preach about Christ, we also practice it in our daily lives so that we fully show Christ's love in us.
- Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20
- He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Mark 16:15-16
- Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2
- Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

1 Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on your because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. |
